  Update #1   White
1999 SharkWerks Project YTSHARK, Motons, Brembo, Flywheel, Fikse and RUF

After seeing the prices come down so much on these 996s, back in 2006 we brought home a 1999 996 C2 as a track car project. We work on so many 996/997s that it made sense for us to get a 996 to showcase some of the stuff we do in the Bay Area as well. Oh and it makes for a great track car too weighing under 3000 pounds. No PSM, no E-gas and so forth and plus it's white....

First order of business we to mount some Fikses on it that we have at the shop, some clear side markers, CF mirrors, the SSK and so forth

A few of the goodies waiting to be installed including the V-Flow intake, Tubi Exhaust, headers and B&M short shifter (essential).

On goes the Tubi Exhaust and EVO headers:

We then did the Xenon Litronic conversion to the car which isn't too bad if your holes are already pre-drilled in the chassis. A bit of soldering/wiring and pulling away at the front section but it went in without much of a hassle.

The next phase involved a radical Cup-Car inspired body conversion including RuF flares as well:

Narrowbody no more!

That's a big Cup car wing alright but also a European rear bumper sans those horrid bumperettes!

The next phase involved cleaning up the interior and installing a set of GT3 seats and the Tequipment roll bar

And the EVO pedal kit, of course.

The 14 inch Brembo F50 kit was also installed for improved braking as well as weight reduction with lighter calipers and two piece rotors (also larger than stock).

For a serious suspension package one need not look any further than the double adjustable Moton Clubsport kit

The light weight battery and relocation kit.

We came so far and here's the finished article. Not bad for a 99 C2 eh?
